In response to The Sports Councils Equality Group (SCEG) Project for Review and Redraft of Guidance for Transgender Inclusion in Domestic Sport 2021, Wakey Wheeled Cats would like to state that Trans, Nonbinary, Gender Fluid, and Intersex folks are welcome in our roller derby league. We stand for their inclusion and safety against current oppressions.
Our committee is in agreement that the guidance from the SCEG review encourages harmful views towards the trans community and does not fit with our values.
